MEPHALIE works in the spirit of traditional restoration: first understand why every component exists, then decide what comes next. Years spent disassembling and rebuilding complex mechanisms taught us that contemporary design need not conceal tradition.
Design, finishing, assembly and regulation are completed in Shanghai, with a small number of specialist workshops producing foundational components. Every piece retains a complete making record.
MADE IN SMALL NUMBERS
We work to an annual rather than quarterly rhythm, giving the watchmaker time for hand-finishing and individual regulation.
MATERIALS WITH HONESTY
Brushing, blasting, mirror polish and natural oxidation let each material speak for itself rather than imitate another.
